  • Sperm Banking – Own Sperm Preservation
    • Do you offer the option of storing one’s own sperm for future use?

      Yes, you can opt to store your own sperm with us for your future use.

    • What do you mean by preservation of own sperm?

      A person desirous of storing his fertility for his own purposes can resort to cryo-preservation of his sperm samples for future use. In this method, the individual’s sperm sample(s) is obtained by ejaculation and is then processed for preservation.

    • Who should opt for own sperm deposition?

      We generally recommend this option to cancer patients about to undergo chemotherapy, people with terminal illness and persons in high risk professions like the fire department, army, navy, air force, police or people handling toxic or hazardous chemicals as part of their profession. Generally such people choose to bank their sperm to preserve their fertility against possible loss in the future.

      Sometimes, couples even choose this option when one of them is away from the other, on account of work assignments involving long travel or outstation postings like merchant navy, IT & software industry, etc.

    • What is the process for own sperm preservation?

      Once you decide to preserve your own sperm, you can get in touch with BabyQuest

      We recommend you to undergo salient medical pathology tests prior to deposition, to ensure that you are free of HIV & Hepatitis infection. You can get these tests conducted at any pathology lab.

      You shall then visit our Sperm Bank to do the actual process for sperm deposition. We strongly prefer the depositor to give the samples at BabyQuest premises as the sample needs to be processed and cryo-preserved at the earliest.

    • What are the charges?

      We charge a registration fee, annual storage fees and processing fee per sample all of which are collected in advance.

    • Where in India will you deliver the stored sample for my future use?

      We deliver at all locations in India. However, if delivery is in Mumbai, we do not apply delivery charges at present, but collect delivery and packing charges separately, as applicable, for deliveries outside Mumbai.

    • How will you deliver my stored sample?

      We ship the sample in liquid nitrogen or in nitrogen vapor to the Clinic at the time of treatment.

    • Do you offer the option of storing one’s own eggs for future use?

      Yes, you can opt to store your own eggs with us for your future use.

    • What do you mean by preservation of own eggs?

      A lady desirous of storing her fertility for her own use later can resort to cryo-preservation of her eggs for future use. In this method, the lady’s eggs are obtained by putting her on a hormonal cycle and retrieving her eggs through a minor surgical procedure, which are then processed for
      preservation.

    • Who should opt for own egg preservation?

      We generally recommend this option to cancer patients about to undergo chemotherapy, people with terminal illness and persons in high risk professions like the fire department, army, navy, air force, police or people handling toxic or hazardous chemicals as part of their profession. Generally such people choose to bank their eggs to preserve their fertility against possible loss in the future.

      In today’s day and age, career-oriented women and women in high-profile occupations like models, actresses etc would like to delay starting their own family, and at an advanced age, it can be difficult to have a baby naturally with their own eggs. They now have the option of freezing their own eggs in the prime of their youth, to be used later for starting their family.

    • What is the process for own egg preservation?

      Once you decide to preserve your own eggs, you can get in touch with BabyQuest. After initial counseling and information, we shall outline the process to you as well as introduce you to an appropriate clinician who shall put you on the necessary medication, monitor the entire cycle and do the egg pick-up through a minor surgical procedure. We shall cryo-preserve these eggs through vitrification procedure.

      We recommend you to undergo salient medical pathology tests prior to deposition, to ensure that you are free of HIV & Hepatitis infection. You can get these tests conducted at any pathology lab.

      The entire process will be completed in approximately 2-3 weeks, during which you would be required to visit the doctor’s clinic on a regular basis as required from time to time.
