    • How does BabyQuest CryoBank screen the potential donors?

      We are guided by US FDA, EU and Indian ICMR guidelines. Our expert panel of doctors and psychological counsellors interact with the potential donors and screen them based on the national and international guidelines. All our potential donors are screened for genetic and pathological disorders, We perform following tests to screen our donors :

      • Complete Blood Count
      • Blood Typing
      • HIV 1 & 2 antibody testing
      • Hepatitis B surface antigen
      • Hepatitis B core antibody testing
      • Hepatitis C antibody testing
      • SGPT (serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase)
      • Random Blood Sugar
      • S. Creatinine
      • Routine urine testing
      • Chromosome Analysis (karyotype)
      • Hemoglobinopathies including Thalassemia (alpha and beta)

      and only then donor samples are accepted for storage. We observe a quarantine period of the maximum strictness, namely six months, and repeat our tests for infectious diseases and only if the donor continues to be free of infections then the samples released for use by the recipient.

    • What kind of information do you provide regarding the donors?
      Customized to your criteria

      Our donors are completely anonymous, but certain information is available for you to match with your patient’s basic criteria like height, weight, skin colour, blood group, basic education and eye colour. This data is available online on our website under section ‘Donor Search’ (put link here), where you can search based on your patient’s criteria.

      Extended profile

      We also provide additional information like donor’s personal likes and dislikes, family medical history up to three generations, donor’s hobbies, detailed educational profile, family background, staff impression, amongst others, to give recipients additional comfort in selecting the right sperm sample. There is a separate charge for releasing this information. However, please note that all donations are completely anonymous and no such information will be revealed which can compromise on donor’s anonymity.

    • Why BabyQuest CryoBank?

      We provide a specific concentration of motile sperms for all our samples, in short, what you order is what you get. Our sperm samples are high-quality and pre-screened for genetic and pathological disorders. In fact, we screen 100% of our donors for genetic disorders and strictly maintain the six months quarantine period. Our systems and procedures are world-class and in line with best practices globally. We are guided by EU, US FDA and Indian (ICMR) guidelines. Our stringent screening practices include genetic screening for every accepted donor. This is far more than what our present Indian regulations recommend.

    • What are the different concentrations of sperm samples that you offer?

      We have different concentrations of sperm samples on offer, graded in terms of motility; in millions of motile sperm per ml e.g. the M20 sample contains not less than 20 million motile sperm per milliliter. We offer M5, M10, M20, M30, M40, M50 and M50+ types of samples.

    • How do a clinic place an order?

      You can check the sample availability online on our Sample Database, and communicate the selected sample as well as the contact details of your clinic by email. We shall confirm the order specifications given and confirm the date of delivery and request you to transfer the 100% advance payment to our bank account. Once we have received the advance payment, we will deliver the sample on the given date to your clinic.

    • How do you ship an order?

      All deliveries are shipped with the utmost care, since the sperm samples are temperature-sensitive. All deliveries are therefore transported in liquid nitrogen or liquid nitrogen vapour containers.

    • How much time do you take to deliver an order?

      We need to receive your confirmed order by email and 100% advance payment, at least a week prior to your preferred date of delivery.

    • Can we return the sample due to any reason?

      No, we are sorry, but we do not accept return of delivered samples under any circumstances. Once the shipment leaves our premises, neither is it accepted back nor the money refunded. Please note that we do not refund the advance payment, in part or in full, once the shipment leaves our premises.

    • How does BabyQuest CryoBank screen the potential donors?

      We are guided by US FDA, EU and Indian ICMR guidelines. Our expert panel of doctors and psychological counsellors interact with the potential donors and screen them based on the national and international guidelines. Once you select a potential egg donor from the Donor Registry, she will be screened for genetic and pathological disorders, including Karyotyping, thalassemia, HIV and hepatitis, amongst others.

    • What kind of information do you provide regarding the donors?
      Customized to your criteria

      Our donors are completely anonymous, but certain information is available for you to match with your patient’s basic criteria like height, weight, skin colour, blood group, basic education and eye colour. This data is available in our Donor Registry. you can contact us to check if we have a donor satisfying your criteria.

    • Our clinic is interested, how do we contact you for an egg donor? What is the process involved?

      Please write in to us at query@babyquest.in with your criteria and we shall revert to you after consulting the Donor Registry. Once you give your confirmation regarding the egg donor, we shall get the process rolling. You will be required to pay a registration fee and advance payment before starting the stimulation cycle. The stimulation protocol, monitoring of the egg donor’s health and response to medication and subsequent egg pick-up will have to be done at your clinic, under the guidance of a suitably experienced practitioner. Any medical complication during the treatment cycle or arising out of the treatment administered, will be your, i.e. the clinic’s responsibility.
